Testimonials

We so appreciate our customers and the great things they say about us!
We think you'll love our services as much as these customers.

The Rice Organization Inc. rocks. I met with Laura Neff and Paul Kopecky to discuss the type of yard I wanted. First, I am a single woman so the primary goal was low, low and more low maintenance. Second, I wanted a peaceful zen-like ambiance. My life is hectic and I was yearning for a retreat of sorts.

So, I got what I wanted. The unglamorous happened first, which meant digging up the yard and then installing the drainage and irrigation. Ho hum but had to be done. Then came the aesthetics. Concrete pads, a beautiful herb box, a serene sitting area, gorgeous plantings, vines climbing up fences and posts and yes, black star gravel in between the pads. It’s hard to leave the house now.  - Houston

I've been using the Rice Org for nearly 20 years, and can't imagine using anyone else for my ongoing maintenance and landscaping needs.

Laura Neff’s personal touch puts her small but full-service landscaping company in the top eschelon. She is fully knowledgeable on organic planting/maintenance. She also recognizes that proper soil preparation + healthy mulch and plants are the keys to yards and gardens that endure.

Another one of Laura’s talents is facilitating the selection of plants for a garden. She sends pictures from sites of any plants she recommends. She thinks ahead to blooming periods so that one’s gardens have color in all 4 seasons. Working closely with home owners to achieve the look that works for them is her priority.

Her association with Paul Kopecky (irrigation and drainage) is another important piece for maintaining our property. I appreciate the research both are willing to do to troubleshoot any yard problems.

This is a letter of recommendation for Laura Neff. She is a fine person with high moral standards, honest, hard-working, reliable, and knowledgeable about her subject. Her bills are detailed and exact.

Laura has worked with us for about 15 years, I can't remember exactly. She has helped landscape three houses, two in Houston and one at Lake Conroe. We have worked with designers on some points, but Laura has done the landscape work and improved upon the designs often. In Tanglewood, she created new beds, enlarged existing ones, and planted trees. At the lake, she plants seasonal color, cleans up the beds, works with which plants will thrive in various locations, and, recently, removed a pine tree hurt during hurricane Ike. At our townhouse in Houston, she has enlarged beds, chosen appropriate plants, installed seasonal color, arranged vine treatment on the fence, planted perennials, planted a tree, and advised on a number of miscellaneous issues.

I have recommended Laura to a lot of my friends and plan to continue to do so. I cannot imagine a job too large or difficult for her. She is a gem and we are lucky to know her and her courteous staff.
